PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform curing treatment of a sealing material by a UV ray while downsizing the light source for the UV ray, enhancing energy efficiency and treating efficiency and preventing the deterioration of a liquid crystal. SOLUTION: In a UV irradiation device 140, an irradiation head 143 is disposed so as to be opposed to a liquid crystal panel 310 held by a pressing tool 210 conveyed to a UV irradiation position in the UV irradiation device 140. In the irradiation head 143, six optical systems 150a-150f opposed to the liquid crystal panel 310 and along the sealing material 312 applied onto liquid crystal injection ports 311 of the liquid crystal panel 310 are provided so that the intervals between the optical systems 150a-150f are nearly the same as the intervals of the sealing material 312 applied onto the liquid crystal injection ports 311 of the liquid crystal panel 310.
