BUS BAR AND BATTERY USING THE BUS BAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bus bar, capable of attaining the reduction weight of the bus bar, while responding to a heavy current and easily being connected to the electrode of a cell, and a battery which uses the bus bar. SOLUTION: The battery 10 is constituted, by connecting the electrodes 11a and 11b of juxtaposed cells 11 via the bus bar 20. The bus bar 20 comprises a hollow part 20a formed in the center, continuously in the longitudinal direction of the bus bar 20, and cutout parts 20c and 20d formed at end parts thereof by cutting at least the opposed surfaces to a contact face 20b to the electrodes 11a and 11b, so that cooling effect of heat is improved by the hollow part 20a, while reducing the weight of the bus bar 20, and electrode terminals are inserted from the cutout parts 20c and 20d and pressed onto the contact face 20b.
