PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for allowing even a woman having no physical strength to easily up a sail without opening a hole in the sail. SOLUTION: A rod-shaped member 21 is erected on a board 20. Next, a direction changing tool 25 through which a rope 24 is passed is fixed to the tip of this rod-shaped member 21. Finally, The rope 24 having one end fixed to a rig part is inserted into the direction changing tool 25. Afterwards, the sail can be easily upped by pulling downward (an arrow 26) in the almost vertical direction relative to the board 20 by gripping this rope 24 by hands.
