PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently obtaining a mixed gas of a lower olefin with a lower aliphatic carboxylic acid by vaporizing the lower aliphatic carboxylic acid at a relatively low temperature in the method for producing ethyl acetate by catalytically reacting the lower olefin with the lower aliphatic carboxylic acid in the vapor phase. SOLUTION: The pressure of a lower aliphatic carboxylic acid is raised and the lower aliphatic carboxylic acid is mixed with the lower olefin, then heated and vaporized to thereby remarkably reduce the temperature at which the lower aliphatic carboxylic acid can be vaporized.
