PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner in which ordinary cleaning can be performed even with a suction port body having no electric motor without complicated constitution. SOLUTION: Whether or not there is an electric motor is detected by a great difference in an electric current value by ON-OFF of an electric motor without placing a detection means for detecting a suction port body having an electric motor or a suction port body having no electric motor. When an electric motor does not rotate in a suction port body having an electric motor, elimination or reduction of electric power can be conducted by lowering drive of a motor fan. Also when there is no electric current from an electric motor in a suction port body having no electric motor, a motor fan can be rotated under high power and ordinary cleaning can be performed.
