The method for transmitting an analogue signal in a transmission system comprising initially digital samples includes the replacing of original digital samples by the analogue signal to be transmitted. The method comprises a step of pre-processing of the analogue signal before transmission, and a step of post-processing at reception. The modem is of type Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM), Coherent Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (COFDM), or monocarrier, and the analogue signal is emitted in the form of N independently modulated time-frequency cells. The analogue signal is sampled at a given frequency, and the obtained samples are distributed according to a distribution law fixed in the cells. A device for transmitting an analogue signal comprises a digital modem adapted to receive analogue signals, to apply a pre-processing to the analogue signal and a post-processing to the signal at reception. The device comprises a block for the sampling of the analogue signal, and a module for distributing the samples in the time-frequency cells.
