PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate electric power of a constant voltage of plural systems by change control of the number of turns of winding and flux density control in a generator, having power generating characteristic of plural systems. SOLUTION: This generator is provided with a switching device for switching over the connection of terminals by each winding group, and a magnetic flux control ring which changes flux density from a rotor to a comb part of a stator core and is capable of relative movement to the stator core. A controller responds to a rotational speed of the rotor, and performs switch-over control of the switching device and flux density converting control due to the relative movement of the flux control ring, thereby generating electric power of a prescribed constant voltage. Control for generating a DC small voltage for a vehicle, and an AC middle voltage and large voltage can be made.
