PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and efficiently manufacture a warped side surface type laminated core, whose side surface is formed along a curved surface, such as circumferential surface, etc. SOLUTION: An engagement protrusion is formed beforehand on a core material plate 5 punched out into a prescribed shape. A required number of punched core material plates 5 are laminated intermediately and engaged, via the engagement protrusions with gaps between the respective core material plates 5 in a punching die to make an original laminated core unit 11, which has a degree of freedom of warpage and deformation in a direction of lamination. The original laminated core unit 11 is set in a core-forming mold 22 having a die 23, whose wall surfaces 23a, pressed against at least a pair of facing side surfaces of the original laminated core unit 11, are warped in parallel with each other, the upper and lower surfaces of the original laminated core unit 11 are pressed by a pressurizing block 26 and a receiving block 24 for making the intermediately engaged engagement protrusions engaged completely, and the original laminated core unit 11 is formed into the shape of the core-forming mold 22. Using such a constitution, a warped side surface type laminated core 1, in which a pair of side surfaces are warped, can be manufactured easily and efficiently.
