PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an electromagnetic actuator which is applied to a digital camera or the like. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic actuator is equipped with a rotor 10 having outer peripheral surfaces 11a, 11b magnetized to be an N pole and an S pole, a frame member 20 which pivotally retains the rotor 10, a yoke 30 forming a magnetic path, and a coil 30 for excitation which is wound surrounding both side end surfaces in a rotation-supporting shaft direction of the rotor 10. The yoke 30 is provided with an end surface counter part 31 facing one side end surface in the rotation-supporting shaft direction of the rotor 10, and two magnetic pole parts 32, 33 which are interconnected via the counter part 31 and form a surface facing an outer peripheral surface of the rotor 10. A coil 40 is wound directly about the outside of the counter part 31, at a position dividing the two magnetic pole parts 32, 33, so that the conventional iron pins can be dispensed with, and structure is simplified and miniaturized. |
