PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing device which is capable of shortening the time for processing the reading of data so as to prevent excessive noises and heat from being generated in reading the data of the optical disk with which data reading errors occur frequency and recording quality is poor. SOLUTION: A disk motor 3 is mounted with the optical disk 2 and while the disk motor 3 is rotated by the rotational control of a servo circuit 4 meeting the rotation control instruction of a CPU 22, the data of the optical disk 22 is read and the error of the read data is detected. The rotation of the disk motor 3 is controlled by the rotating speed made correspondence to the accumulated number of error times at each detection.
