PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record and reproduce an audio/video signal with an easy control and a simplified circuit configuration. SOLUTION: There are provided a first converting means for converting an audio/video signal from an analog signal to a digital signal; an encoder for performing a digital signal process for this converted digital signal; a recording reproduction system which records the digital signal subjected to the digital signal process on a magnetic disk, and reproduces the digital signal recorded on the magnetic disk; a decoder for decoding from a state that the reproduced digital signal was subjected to digital signal processing to an original digital signal; and a second converting means for converting the decoded digital signal into the analog signal. Namely, as a signal processing system such as A/D converters 31, 35, D/A converters 34, 38, or the like is integrally provided, it is possible to connect to external apparatuses not through a special interface such as IDE, or the like.
