PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the man-hour for construction of an automatic test system and the man-hour for reflecting the specification change in the test object side in the automatic test system. SOLUTION: A stub driver is generated from fundamental specifications of a screen on the basis of definition information such as interface definitions and the data length, and a script is generated from a standard scenario or a standard script. An automatic test mechanism performs the automatic test on the basis of these generated materials. At this time, each function of a test object program is constituted of a lot of standard functions, and one standard scenario can be used to test a lot of functions by taking the processing sequence of the standard functions as the standard scenario. Scenarios can be prepared in the unit of standard functions or standard scenarios. The test object program may be generated from definition information and program specification. Consequently, the scale of the standard scenario or the standard scrip can be reduced. The specification change is reflected in the entire test system by changing only definition information fundamentally.
