PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electromagnetically driven motor, which copes sufficiently with mounting conditions to various products like extension to a small-sized product, and an electromagnetically driven stop device having the motor. SOLUTION: The motor is equipped with a rotor in which a plurality of magnetized parts are arranged, a stator having magnetic pole parts facing the magnetized parts of the rotor, and a coil which is wound around an outer peripheral part of the stator and generates a magnetic force for rotating the rotor. The rotor has a first outside diameter part and a second outside diameter part, whose diameter is larger than that of the first part in the rotary shaft direction, and an end surface part which connects the first outside diameter part with the second outside diameter part, in the direction vertical to the rotary shaft direction of the rotor. A plurality of the magnetized parts of the rotor include a first magnetized part, in which the outer periphery of the first outside diameter part is magnetized and a second magnetize part, in which the end surface part is magnetized with the same polarity and the same phase as the first magnetized part. The magnetic pole parts of the stator are arranged, facing both the first magnetized part of the rotor and the second magnetized part of the rotor.
