PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an organic electroluminescent element of high definition and high reliability. SOLUTION: In manufacturing an organic electroluminescent element having an element structure consisting of a substrate/a first electrode/an organic matter layer including at least a luminous layer/a second electrode, a donor substrate with the second electrode and/or the organic matter layer formed in advance is bonded on the substrate so that the organic matter layer or the second electrode comes in contact, and heat source is irradiated from the donor substrate side for transcribing the organic layer and/or the second electrode on the substrate, during which, the substrate is cooled to make its temperature below room temperature.
