PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the vibrations of a spindle motor section from a disk increasing with the rotation of a magnetic disk device at increasing higher speeds. SOLUTION: Vibration damping metallic materials, such as magnesium alloys having a logarithmic decrement of >=0.1 are used as components of a hub 1a, magnetic disk 2, clamper 3 and spacer 4 of the magnetic disk device, by which the suppression of the resonance of the spindle motor section from the disk is made possible and the realization of the higher recording density and higher rotating speed of the magnetic disk device is made possible.
