The drive mechanism consists of a driving wheel (18) with radial teeth (21) which interact with the soil surface and drive a seed drill's doser, and a coupling arm (23) between the wheel and doser containing a transmission shaft (28). The coupling is connected to the seed drill by an articulated joint (22) which allows it to be folded towards the vertical medial plane of the drill for transportation, the axis (22A) of the joint lying parallel to the said median plane.
