PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the arrival signal-reporting method of a portable terminal for reporting arrival signals in various modes by utilizing external equipment. SOLUTION: The method for reporting the arrival signal of the cellular phone terminal comprises an external equipment search procedure for searching external equipment for performing short-distance radio communication with the portable terminal, an external equipment selection procedure for selecting external equipment for outputting arrival signal-reporting information out of the searched external equipment, arrival signal report information transmission procedure for transmitting the arrival signal-reporting information from the portable terminal to the selected external equipment by the short-distance radio communication, so that the external equipment, that receives the arrival signal- reporting information, outputs the arrival signal-reporting information.
