PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing unit, having higher rigidity of bearing and ensuring low loss, higher impact resistance and moreover superior in mass productivity, and to provide a high reliability disk drive. SOLUTION: A plurality of radial bearings which include dynamic-pressure multiple arc bearing are engaged with a non-magnetic bearing housing, a rotary shaft is supported at higher accuracy with the dynamic-pressure multiple arc bearing via lubrication fluid between the rotary shaft and the radial bearings and the bearing surface having arc diameter, concentric with the bearing center is provided within the bearing unit. Thereby, the impact load to be applied to the disk drive from external side is received with a part which is in surface- contact with the rotary shaft.
