PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents distribution system in which paying of money for the purchase of software contents is facilitated for a user. SOLUTION: The Internet connection program, the writing software of contents, authentication data for authenticating applicability to the contents distribution system and contents download permission information (remainder information) showing the downloadable quantity of the contents are written previously in an optical disk. When the optical disk is applied to the contents distribution system, the user can download the contents through the Internet within the range of the contents download permission information. Namely, the optical disk functions as a prepaid optical disk. Consequently, troublesomeness such as the leakage of a credit card number, visiting a bank is eliminated from paying of contents charge by the user. |
