PURPOSE: To provide a vacuum cleaner which can be used under an extremely clean environment with completely no evacuation accompanied with suction and with a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum container 1 the inside of which is under a vacuum condition by being vacuum-evacuated in advance, a valve 2 which holds hermeticity of the vacuum container 1 and is opened when the vacuum cleaner 100 is used and a suction part 20 fitted to the valve 2 are provided. The valve 2 is a so-called gate valve and the inside of the vacuum container 1 is hermetically held under a condition where the gate valve 22 in the valve 2 is closed. A connecting hole 23 is fitted on the opposite side of the fitting face for the vacuum container 1 of the valve 2 and a connecting adaptor 31 is fitted in the connecting hole 23 by screwing. In addition, a flexible suction hose 32, etc., are fitted to the connecting adaptor 31 as an attachment.
