Temperature determination method for automobile exhaust gas sensor uses measurement of internal resistance of electrochemical cell

The temperature determination method uses measurement of the internal resistance (R1) of an electrochemical cell (12), by detecting the voltage upon application of a defined measuring current (I-Mess), which is switched at intervals to a reference resistance (R2), for providing a reference voltage for evaluation of the internal resistance. An Independent claim for a circuit for measuring the internal resistance of an electrochemical cell for determining the temperature of an automobile exhaust gas sensor is also included.
