The divider has side parts moving in vertical guides, each with an associated slide element moving in a long holder profile. There are at least three profiles (2) to guide the divider (4). The cross section of a slide element (1) mainly corresponds to that of the profile, so that the divider is supported in the profiles in all directions of movement. The slide element is block or bar-shaped, or is a flexible guide band. It has an elastic element or a spring to compensate for tolerances in the profile.
