PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket structure achieving sufficient vibration damping function by reducing the spring constant of a gasket and consequently ensuring a reduction in noises without requiring other countermeasures including a soundproof cover, etc. SOLUTION: A width w of the gasket 3 is set to be smaller than a width W of the gasket structure 2 and three streaks of positioning protrusions 4 are each formed on both sides of the gasket 3 for elastically abutting the inner wall of a gasket groove 3. Both side faces of the gasket 3 is separated from the inner wall of the gasket groove 2 to permit the expansion of the whole gasket 3 for damping vibration without binding to the gasket groove 2 when the vibration is transmitted from a cylinder head 5 to a rocker cover 1.
