PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer building having dwelling units and other living spaces positioned via common corridors along a floorless space; to make effective use of space in the building; to enhance living comfort; and to permit a variety of layouts. SOLUTION: A vertically communicating floorless space A is provided on the inner periphery of an inner peripheral frame 3 which constructs a vertical construction face on the inner periphery of the building. Dwelling units and other living spaces are positioned along the floorless space A via common corridors. The building is divided into an upper layer part 6 and a lower layer part 7. On the upper layer part 6, the common corridor 10 is provided on the inner periphery of the inner peripheral frame 3 of the building. On the lower layer part 7, the common corridor 11 is provided on the outer periphery of the inner peripheral frame 3 of the building. The depth of living space 30 on the upper layer part 6 in the inside-to-outside direction of the building is made greater than the depth of living space 31 on the lower layer part 7. The floorless space A consists of natural lighted space 60 formed on the upper layer 6 and leading to the top, and a facility storage space 70 formed on the lower layer part 7. A mechanical multistory parking facility 80 is provided in the facility storage space 70.
