PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier-complex composite useful as a catalyst for directly synthesizing an alkanol from an alkane, to provide an alkane oxidation catalyst, and to provide a method for synthesizing the alkanol. SOLUTION: This carrier-complex composite contains a carrier and a complex, wherein at least one kind of ligand for composing the complex is bonded to the carrier, and the complex is positioned in a hydrophobic field.
