PURPOSE: A system for intermediating a commodity is provided to establish a reliable electronic commerce by performing a guarantee managing business with respect to a secondhand commodity corresponded to a purchase request of a buyer. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(41) stores information of a buyer and a seller, information of a secondhand commodity capable of being supplied by the seller, information of a secondhand commodity to be purchased by the buyer, information with respect to a form necessary for an intermediation system, information with respect to a guarantee for a transaction of the secondhand commodity, and information for a delivery of the secondhand commodity. A database managing unit(42) manages information stored in the storage unit(41). A commodity selection unit(43) is provided for the buyer to select a wanted commodity in accordance with commodity information stored in the storage unit(41) with respect to secondhand commodity suggested by the seller for a sale. A guarantee unit(45) is provided for a mediator to guarantee a secondhand commodity to be sold by the seller. A mail managing unit(44) transmits contents with respect to a transaction of the secondhand commodity to the buyer and the seller in accordance with a form stored in the storage unit(41). A transaction confirmation unit(46) checks a transaction between the seller and the buyer in accordance with the form stored in the storage unit(41), and checks whether the transaction is terminated normally.
