PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multitubular heat exchanger in which thermal energy can be recovered sufficiently. SOLUTION: The multitubular heat exchanger comprises a large number of heat exchanger tubes 13 juxtaposed at the intersection of an exhaust duct 11 passing high temperature exhaust gas and an air duct 12 passing ordinary temperature air to traverse the opposite sidewall parts 11a forming the exhaust duct 11 and to pass the air. On the outer surface at the wall part 11a of the exhaust duct 11 in the air duct 12, a plurality of thermoelectric conversion modules 14 are arranged and connected with a capacitor for storing electric power generated from the thermoelectric conversion modules 14.
