PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the opening of a molding die which is of a simple structure and economically effective with high productivity. SOLUTION: This method for opening a molding die for molded products and this device therefore relate to a mold assembly for a thin-walled molded product 1 with an undercut part 1a. That is, a movable template 6 which is movable the vertically with a base 4 formed at the bottom, is lowered and an inclined block 9 which inclines and relatively slides to the template 6 is moved horizontally and further, a differential inclined pin 10 fixed, in a freely sliding manner, in the inclined block 9, is engaged with the undercut part 1a of the thin-walled molded product 1 so as to make the pin 10 elastically deformed inwardly. Under this state, the fixed template 2 is made apart by relatively moving it upward, then the differential inclined pin 10 is moved apart from the undercut part 1a of the molded part 1 by relatively moving a projecting plate 5 to the movable template 6. Consequently, the undercut part 1a the restored to its original shape by elastic deformation.
