PURPOSE: A method of reducing decomposition and spoilage of agricultural and fishery products by giving magnetic force, sufficiently supplying oxygen or the like to the products is provided which prevents damage of the products and makes it possible to maintain fresh. CONSTITUTION: For maintaining the freshness of an agricultural and fishery product which are processed or to be processed, they are allowed to be placed in a magnetic field or protected by installation of a shielding layer, wall and membrane around them. A magnet is installed to impart magnetic force to a water molecule, and agitation or aeration facilities are installed to increase the magnetic force.
