PURPOSE: A cooling apparatus for a glass product is provided, to cool the hot glass product uniformly by employing both the forced convection of cooling air and the radiation cooling by steam together, thereby improving the reproducibility of cooling and maintaining the shape and dimension of a glass product to be precise. CONSTITUTION: The cooling apparatus(10) comprises a ventilation means which ventilates the cooling air by force; and an air former(16) which is communicated with the ventilation means and comprises a steam supply means(40) supplying the steam for cooling the glass product(32). Preferably the steam supply means(40) comprises a steam generator; and a steam supply pipe(42) connecting a ventilation pipe forming the path of the ventilation means.
