PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the rotation stability and reliability of a kinetic pressure gas bearing device. SOLUTION: A hub 3 and a shaft 2 are provided with permanent magnets 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d, and a total of a clearance between a thrust bearing plate 5 and a thrust receiving surface 2d of the shaft 2 and a clearance between the thrust bearing plate 5 and a thrust flange 4 is set smaller than a total of clearances in the axial direction among the permanent magnets 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d. With this structure, the generation of abrasion due to a contact of the thrust bearing plate 5 with the thrust flange 4 when starting the position, and a breakdown or the like due to a contact with the permanent magnets with each other when the vibration or an impact in the thrust direction is applied are suppressed to improve the rotation stability and reliability.
