PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring a sensory amount recognized visually into a numerical value to allow evaluation, and to enhance consistency with visual observation. SOLUTION: In this evaluation method, the evaluation is performed using a value (Japanese lacquer blackness) combined with at least two of a value (bright hyper-chromic value) by an intercoodinate distance between coordinates of an evaluated object and a reference point assigned preliminarily, and a value (surface hyper-chromic value) provided by measuring directly a surface shape of the evaluated object, and by arithmetic-processing a numerical value caused by unevenness or waviness on a surface of the evaluated object provided by the measurement, in a color display system comprising a three-dimensional color space.
