INK FOR INK JET RECORDING AND INK JET RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the corrosion problem of the metal of a wire bonding part of a recording head for bubble jet recording (registered trade name) to enable the use of the head over a long period even with an ink containing a large amount of electrolyte and having high acidity. SOLUTION: The ink for ink jet recording is composed of water, a coloring agent having a cationic group and a hydrophilic organic solvent. The ink further contains at least an acid and ammonium ion and has pH of 3-7. This invention further provides an ink jet recording method using the ink.
