PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary turntable apparatus for line illumination operation that inhibits the damage in an electric motor, quick consumption (short life) of a battery power supply, the loss or the like of a rotational function due to dust or the like, and improves the working efficiency in the formation of a horizontal or vertical line or the check or the like in the degree of horizontality and verticality. SOLUTION: A center shaft (6) being supported rotatably by a vertical bearing in a baseplate (41), and a deceleration rotary transmission mechanism section (4) for performing the deceleration and transmission of the output of an electric motor (M) as a drive source to the center shaft (6) are provided in a housing (2) being fixed onto an apparatus body base (1). Additionally, at the upper opening of the housing (2), a horizontal rotary turntable (3) that is rotated by the center shaft (6) is provided in a hat shape. Further, at the transmission path of the deceleration rotary mechanism section (4), a drive source protection means for absorbing the operation to the electric motor (M) of a rotary torque for stopping or inversely rotating the horizontal turntable (3) is provided, thus manually or remotely controlling the drive stop or rotary direction change control of the electric motor (M) in the rotary turntable apparatus for line illumination operation.
