PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal packing having good sealing and mounting property, capable of constituting at low-cost and having a high degree of freedom in design. SOLUTION: The metal packing according to this invention which is used for sealing a connection between a vapor pipe 50a and a vapor pipe 50b comprises a circular base 3 having an opening portion 2 for communicating holed portions 51, 54 of the vapor pipes 50a, 50b with each other and a pair of circular lips 4, 5 protruded inwardly from the inner periphery edge of the circular base 3. The circular lips 4, 5 are separated from each other as being apart from the circular base 3 and a distance H between both loose ends 4a, 5a is longer than a thickness D of the circular base 3 in the axial direction of the opening portion 2.
