GAS/FOAM EXTINGUISHING METHOD FOR CABLE TUNNEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gas/foam extinguishing method which achieves a secure extinguishing with higher extinguishing effects by combining cooling effects of foam chemicals and quenching and fire retarding actions by an inert gas and allows checking of afterburning by restricting a fire with prolonged work thereof. SOLUTION: A cable joint part 4 is arranged within a cable pit 3 and foams containing the inert gas is discharged into the cable pit 3 in case of a fire within the cable pit 3.
