METHOD FOR FABRICATING MULTI-TIP FIELD EMISSION DISPLAY

PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a multi-tip field emission display is provided to improve the uniformity of the current which is emitted from a plurality of micro-tips. CONSTITUTION: An adhesive layer(12) is formed on a substrate(11). A plurality of cathodes(13) are formed on the adhesive layer(12). An aluminium layer is deposited on the substrate(11). A mask(14') is formed on by patterning the aluminium layer. A multi-micro tip formation portion is separated by etching the cathodes(13). An insulating layer(15) is formed on the substrate(11). A plurality of gate electrodes(16') are formed on the insulating layer(15). An opening(18) is formed by patterning the gate electrodes(16'). A hole(19) is formed by etching the insulating layer of the opening(18). A multi-micro tip portion(17) is projected by etching selectively a predetermined portion of the adhesive layer(12).
