PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nucleic acid encoding a polypeptide capable of inhibiting β-amyloid formation and having an activity inhibiting degradation of an amyloid precursor protein(APP), a method for screening a compound for treatment for Alzheimer disease using the nucleic acid or the polypeptide encoded by the nucleic acid, and a therapeutic agent for Alzheimer disease containing the obtained compound as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: Disclosed are an isolated nucleic acid for inhibiting APP degradation and a recombinant DNA thereof in which the nucleic acid is a nucleic acid having a specific sequence derived from a human or a derivative thereof and metabolic degradation of APP is inhibited by expression of the polypeptide encoded by the nucleic acid, a carrier for cell transduction containing the nucleic acid, an APP degradation inhibitor containing the nucleic acid, the recombinant DNA and the carrier as an active ingredient, a therapeutic agent for Alzheimer disease containing the degradation inhibitor as an active ingredient, a method for screening a compound capable of inhibiting appearance or symptom of Alzheimer disease using these matters, and a therapeutic agent for Alzheimer disease containing the obtained substance as a active ingredient. |
