PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type disposable wearing article capable of releasing article inside moisture to the outside, and imparting no unpleasant stimulation to a wearer. SOLUTION: This underpants type disposable wearing article 1A is composed of a sheet member 2 and a liquid absorbing member 12. A plurality of strips of girth elastic members 9 extending in the girth direction in front-rear girth areas M1 and M3 are juxtaposed by separating with a given distance in the vertical direction, and are installed on the sheet member 2 in an extending state, and a large number of pleats 10 are formed on the sheet member 2 by a shrinkage of the elastic members 9. The pleats 10 are formed by alternately repeating undulations in the girth direction in the sheet member 2. The pleats 10 extend continuously in the vertical direction, and almost orthogonally to the elastic members 9, and are juxtaposed at almost equal intervals in the girth direction.
