BIOPSY DEVICE HAVING TISSUE MARKER ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a percutaneous biopsy device having an element to mark the directions of respective samples within an organism prior to specimen collection and inspection. SOLUTION: The biopsy probe for collection of at least one soft tissue sample from a patient. This biopsy probe has a handle for holding the biopsy probe. This handle has a terminal and proximity end. The probe further has an elongated needle arranged at the terminal of the handle. This needle has a pointed terminal to be stabbed into the tissue and a bowl for accepting the tissue group. The bowl further has a cutter for cutting the tissue group accepted in the bowl and at least one tissue marker element for putting the mark onto the surface of the tissue. The direction in the radial direction of the tissue can be discriminated after the specimen collection of the tissue by using the mark put on the surface of the tissue.
