METHOD FOR REARRANGING CODE WORD SEQUENCE OF COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for rearranging a code word sequence of a communication system and an apparatus for the same are provided to rearrange before a modulator input in such a way that bits belonging to a part of system with a relatively high magnitude among bits of output code word sequences of a channel coder in the communication system arrive at a position having a high reliability. CONSTITUTION: A method for mapping a column of bits outputted from a coder into a column of bits to modulate 2m-ary includes the steps of: dividing the column of the bits from the coder into at least one two parts, wherein a first part includes a relatively high magnitude among the bits from the coder and the second part includes a relatively low magnitude among the bits from the coder, arranging the bits located at the first part to positions with a high reliability among m bits representing bits to modulate individually at the column of bits for modulating and arranging the bits located at the second part to positions with a low reliability among the m bits.
