PURPOSE: A method for notifying a balance in an intelligent network is provided to receive information about the balance and confirm the usable balance during a telephone conversation by transmitting information about the balance to a PPS(PrePaid Service) subscriber through a short message in an SMC(Short Message Center). CONSTITUTION: It is checked whether a call currently transmitted from an origination MSC(Mobile Switching Center) is for a PPS(ST11). If the call currently transmitted from the origination MSC is for the PPS, the origination MSC requests processing information about the termination call to an SCP(Service Control Point)(ST12). It is checked whether a response signal as to call processing information is received(ST13). If the response signal as to call processing information is received, the origination MSC requests call setup to an termination MSC(ST14). It is checked whether the call setup is performed(ST15). It is checked whether information about a balance of an origination subscriber is transmitted from the SCP to an SMC(ST16). If information is transmitted, it is checked whether information about the balance of the origination subscriber, i.e., a short message is received from the SMC(ST17). If the short message is received, information about a usable balance is transmitted to the subscriber through the short message(ST18). |
