PURPOSE: A protocol verification apparatus for use in IMT-2000 system is provided to test whether a wireless matching protocol such as a transport channel, a call process and a protocol related to a base station and a base station control apparatus is suitable to implement an appropriate test for smooth developing IMT-2000 communication system or not. CONSTITUTION: A protocol verification apparatus for use in IMT-2000 system includes a mobile switching control system(MSCS)(214) for verifying whether data is outputted by a protocol entity or a layer or not, a call controller(CC)(204) and a mobility management part(MMP)(205) for certificating a reception of the response to the verified data and a phase transition corresponding thereto, a radio resource controller(RRC)(206) for controlling and monitoring the radio resource when the phase transition is satisfied, a radio link controller(RLC)(208) and a media access controller(MAC)(209) for linking and controlling the data and for implementing a call processing by interfacing a vocoder(207) employing an AMR codec and a telephone(213).
