摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for identifying magnetic particles, by which magnetic particles composed of a plurality of kinds of materials can be identified and separated individually, even when the kinds of materials to be detected are many and which can be applied to affinity coupling. SOLUTION: The device for identifying magnetic particles identifies magnetic particles 2 which have specific magnetic susceptibility by using a pipe 1, through which the particles 2 are passed and a magnetic field generating device which generates a magnetic field in the pipe 1. A plurality of magnetic particles 2, having different magnetic susceptibility, is introduced into the pipe 1 by means of an inlet mechanism 3. The speeds of the particles 2 in the pipe 1 are changed by generating the magnetic field, and the changed speeds of the particles 2 are detected by means of magnetic particle detectors 6 and 7 and a speed detector 8. The particles 2 are identified, based on the speed changes of the particles 2.
