MULTIPLE PROCESSOR DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM WITH MIRRORED DATA FOR DISTRIBUTED ACCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a redundant and failure resistant storage system capable of performing parallel reading by a plurality of server processors. SOLUTION: A storage system 14 is provided with multiple disk units 20 which can accessible to multiple servers/processors 12. The multiple disk units are provided with a master disk unit and one or more data-mirroring disk units. A data-mirroring disk unit is assigned to a corresponding one of the multiple servers/processors by one server processor designated as the mount manager. Data to be written in a storage system by the server processors are written in the master disk unit, and copied to the data-mirroring disk units. Each server processor reads the data from the data-mirroring disk unit assigned to the server/processor.
