<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing method and an image forming method by which high resolution is obtained because a toner layer is uniformly formed on a developing roll, and the fogging and the filming of a photoreceptor are hardly caused even under severe environment such as high temperature and high humidity and low temperature and low humidity. SOLUTION: In this developing device in which an electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of a latent image holding body obtained by electrification by an electrifying member with exposure is developed to a toner image, and this image forming method in which the toner image developed by the developing method is transferred to transfer material and then fixed thereon; the surface of the developing roll is constituted of a rubber elastic body, and the surface roughness in the peripheral direction of the developing roll is <=10μm and the surface roughness in the shaft direction thereof is <=10μm, and then toner whose content of boron or phosphorus is 0.1 to 100 ppm is used.</p> |
