PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot type optical fiber cable provided with a countermeasure for preventing the movement of a coated optical fiber, in the production line of which a conventional bobbin supplying an elastic member is unnecessary and the elastic member is easily removed. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable is provided with a slot rod 10 on the outer periphery of which a groove 11 is formed, a coated optical fiber 12 housed in the groove 11, a pressing tape 14 wound on the slot rod 10 and a jacket 15 provided on the outer periphery of them. The pressing tape 14 is composed of a tape base member 14a and an elastic body layer 14b provided on the base member and is wound to elastically press the optical fiber 12 which is housed in the groove 11 of the slot rod in a state that a part of the elastic body layer 14b is fitted and inserted into the groove 11 of the slot rod 10.
