<p>The translation device consists of two parallel rolling carriages (3,4), which are arranged to be moveable laterally across the platform (P1) of the road vehicle. The carriages are arranged so that the load container (C) rests on the two carriages. The carriages are designed to be moved simultaneously, in the required direction, under the action of the two translation motors (16,17). The motors are designed to push the load container across the first platform (P1), across an intermediate infill platform (P3) and onto the platform (P2) of the second vehicle, the rail wagon. The rolling carriages are designed to cope with some vertical displacement, to allow for the small differences in height, which may occur between the two vehicles.</p> |
