PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accidental turning of a holder to be prevented by a simplified structure in a supporting device for a shower head, which allows a height of the holder to be adjusted for a shampoo, etc., in a washstand, etc. SOLUTION: The supporting device for the shower head is equipped with a supporting member 4 which is fixed to the washstand, etc., a slide pipe 16 which is slidably inserted for support into an insertion hole 5 of the supporting member 4, and the holder 20 which is fixed to an upper end of the slide pipe 16 so as to extractably support the shower head 22; respective male serrations 17 and 17a are engraved at a vertical interval in an outer peripheral surface of the slide pipe 16; an inner groove part 6, which is made larger in diameter than the insertion hole 5, is formed annularly at an upper end of the supporting member 4; and the groove part 6 is fitted with a ring 10 which is formed with female serrations 13 engaged with the male serrations 17 and 17a of the slide pipe 16 in upper and lower height positions, respectively.
