PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pattern generating device for a printer equipped with a pattern processor 5 for generating pattern data from raw picture data and a storage device 7 for storing the pattern data and realizes a high operating speed with simple components. SOLUTION: A storage device is arranged as a pattern memory 7 to which a random access is performed, and a pattern processor 5 stores pattern data for each column in the pattern memory 7. |
